Holiday apartment renovated to a high standard, with a garden, in the beautiful Tannheim

This holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a detached two-family house on the outskirts of Tannheim, an idyllic village surrounded by forests with about 2200 inhabitants, but offering everything you need.

With around 100m² of living space, this spacious and freshly renovated accommodation provides ample space for a maximum of five people. The living room has a sofa, a coffee table and satellite TV. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and a dining table with chairs. Two of the three bedrooms are furnished with a double bed (200cm wide), while the third bedroom has a single bed (90cm wide). The bathroom has a detached bath, a walk-in shower, a WC, a washbasin, a hairdryer and underfloor heating. There is also a separate toilet with a washbasin and underfloor heating. There is a laundry and drying room in the cellar with a washing machine and tumble dryer. All the rooms have heating and free Wi-Fi.

The outdoor area includes a well-tended garden (in front of and behind the house) with high hedges as a visual shield, inviting you to relax. It is for shared use. A car or bicycles can be parked free of charge in the private carport. Pets are not allowed.

The owner can arrange transfers from the airport/train station etc on request and for a fee. Bicycles are available for hire. Please note that the house is non-smoking. As the owner lives on site, you have a direct contact person in the event of any queries.

All everyday amenities are within walking distance, such as a supermarket, butcher, post office, doctors and restaurants. The nearest bus stop is a five-minute walk away, the Deutsche Bahn train station about 15 minutes away. It is only 15 minutes by bus, train or car to the beautiful Memmingen, also called the “gateway to the Allgäu”, a little town with a historical centre, many shops, restaurants, bars and museums. Owing to the location on the outskirts of Tannheim, you can go on extensive walks or cycle tours on the signposted paths through meadows and forests or along the Iller. It is especially worth visiting the lovely Oyhof, a game enclosure near the Iller, where you can watch deer and a group of wild boar. It can be combined with the nearby forest educational trail. Other places of interest at Tannheim are the Celtic burial mounds, the St. Martin parish church, the castle and the airfield for scenic Alpine flights (with the option of booking a tandem jump for the brave). It is also worth seeing the mill built over 400 years ago by monks, a family-run enterprise since 1850, with an adjoining bakery. There is a further cultural highlight near Tannheim: the Oberschäbische Barockstrasse with its many sacral buildings from the baroque era.
